The u19’s got their Dundalk & District League of to a flyer with a 4 – 1 win over Rock Celtic at the station Road this afternoon.
In their 1st match the lads hit the ground running scoring twice in the space of 3 minuts on the 20 minute mark. A great thru ball from Quinn Ryan released Ian Arnold who scored with a low hard drive
James Keenan was quickest to react 2 minutes later after the Rock keeper made a great save from Daimanus Cernikus but James buired the loose ball.
Cian Sharky was in the right position in the 2nd half to find the back of the net after Quinn Ryan hit the post. The best goal of the game was the 4th, Ian Arnold beating the Rock Keeper to the ball before finding the net from a difficult angle.
Rock did get a deserved consolation goal with 10 minutes remaing however Belurgan were good value for the win and 3 points.
